State award to János Makuk
The Beregszász Auxiliary Service of the Order received a great honor: Katalin Novák, President of the Republic of Hungary, awarded the Hungarian Gold Cross of Merit to the president of the organization, János Makuk, in recognition of his dedicated work in the field of aid, support and humanitarian problems, the pedagogical development of needy children, and helping those with limited mobility. .
János Makuk is a member of the Association of Hungarian Knights of Malta. The Beregszász Auxiliary Service of the Order is one of the three auxiliary services of the Order in Ukraine. For many years, it has been running extensive and important programs in the development of disabled and disadvantaged children, and in the service of the elderly and the sick. Since the start of the war, it has been doing enormous work in the logistics and distribution of humanitarian aid.
In his speech of thanks, our confrere emphasized that the successful work of the organization is the merit of his excellent team and its self-sacrificing work.
